That isn't necessarily THE question, though it is my question, and maybe it's a silly one. I recently picked up a few coins in Littleton wrappers, and one in one of Littleton's big card/clamshells. Two in wrappers are circulated US coins, common dates, and the third is a silver 2001 North Korea 10 Won. The clamshell one is a 2000 Britannia. For some reason, I have a hang-up about removing them from Littleton's wrappers so I can put them in better holders. Is there any reason in the world not to remove them? I think my urge to keep them in the wrappers is based on my inclination to leave things in mint packages/wrappers. Of course, these aren't mint packages. For the two silvers, the wrappers sort of add Littleton's mark of "authenticity," if that's worth anything. I see no reason to leave the other two (a '44 Walking Half and an '05 Indian Head penny) in those wrappers. I guess I just need to see someone else say "it's OK, bust 'em out and put them in proper mounts." How about the bullion? Leave in, or transfer? Thanks!

Take them out if your going to put them into something better. The Littleton packaging adds no value in my opinion.

They didn't originally come in Littleton wrappers, that means they are after market and add no value. I've cut dozens of them out of those wrappers and never worried a bit about it. Get them in a better package.

Put them in something decent. Even a standard 2x2 would be better.
