It's a very common coin but I have never seen one struck this far off center.

The reeded edge is almost missing above the IN GOD and on the opposite side it's overlapping. In hand it looks very odd.

Look at the rim crumbling below and right of the date. This one's fun to contemplate.

Great looking coin. Can't really see anything unusual. Looks like an MS grade.
Rest in Peace

I don't think it makes MS but an easy AU.

Very close, but yeah, there's the barest beginning of wear at the wingtips.
Rest in Peace

Coin looks AU 58 - and from the description of the
lack of reeding in part and the edge crumbling, I'm
wondering if its not the first stage of a Broadstrike.

From his description of the reeded edge it sounds more like he is describing a partial collar and not an off-center.

I also am in the same camp as Conder101 it looks like an early stage of a partial collar - not an off center strike, which usually needs to be 5-10% or more to get a mention on a slab. Cool error, though. In the Morgan and Peace dollar series you'll hear of "railroad rims" that what it is, the rim looks like half of a train track.

I think it fits in the misaligned die category as Robbudo and TreasHunt have said. I believe this because there is nothing abnormal on the reverse. If it had the same characteristics on the reverse as the obverse it would be a partial collar or some call them broadstrikes. I think it gets hard determining them sometimes.
