Here's a 2012 D Alaska Denali quarter for grading.

As with your ASE thread, don't bother, it is worth a quarter. Start a nice Dansco book of ATB Quarters for the kids or a niece or nephew.

Not worth sending to a TPG (too many marks & hits) but a great find if you got it in circulation!

I did find it in circulation. Do you know where I could pick up a Dansco book?

AU-58 for grade, lots of friction on the high points. I would put this one back in circulation and opt for a true MS coin.

Something like the #7148 would be perfect for circulation finds, since almost all coins you'll find in California would be from the Denver mint. Personally, I use Littleton folders like this for my circulation-find 1999-up Quarters, because these take up much less space in my safe than Dansco albums would.

I think this coin would be perfect for a "circulation-finds" album/folder. If coinfanmorgan and family can assemble a complete date set of ATB Quarters from circulation, this would give them a sense of accomplishment money can't buy. Also, the ATB series is very difficult to find in circulation in many parts of the country, and BU ATB rolls are not generally available from banks at face value (as were the 1999-2009 Quarters). In three years, we have a number of CCF members who have never found an ATB Quarter in circulation, and others who have found only one or two. If the lack of face-value availability continues through to 2021, it is quite possible that all completed sets of 2010-2021 Quarters may fetch premiums (even if they are AU coins acquired from circulation!) simply because in many U.S. locations it will have been practically impossible to complete a date set of ATB Quarters from circulation.

I agree with DNA... I would never dream of telling someone what they should or should not do but personally for me no Dansco's for state, territory or ATB's.. Even though I order them all MS I also have a circulation set I'm working on, and for about $7 I can get the nice P & D folders, so for less than a Dansco I can get 2 of each... I also got a blank quarter one for the ATB S mints as well as 5 quarter plastic holders (like proof set holders but all spots for quarters) for the proof and silver sets by year. Idk, to each his own and if you want to get Dansco's by all means go ahead, that would look great, I just find for me that for the new quarters its more economical to get the folders and plastic holders... You can get them all for less than one Dansco, and also as DNA stated it takes up half the room.. (Just in case you don't know and might be interested, Littleton Coin Company has a promo deal right now where you can get all 30 of the ATB P & D's to date for face value.. No tax, no shipping.. And 4 free pennies... So actually .04 over face for the price of face, so for $7.50 flat you get $7.54 in MS coins... Actually a really good deal, if you want the promo code I could find it for you, it's posted here somewhere.. If the promo is still going on...)
