I am helping a friend catalog an inheritance from her father. I would appreciate the experts validation of my identification/valuation of this coin in the collection.

1893-Austria-1-Corona

KM#2804. 1893 Austria 1 Corona. Grade IMHO is VG. Retail value $8 (US).

Thoughts?

Thanks

David

David, I agree w/VG. Those in this condition have been closing @ slightly less than book, but w/a larger than normal shipping, as the majority are being offered from Germany, Hungary, Bulgaria. So, people are paying $10-$15 for these right now, from what I can see.

Here's one of a similar condition that didn't sell at $10 .

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-CORONA-18...p=true&rt=nc

and then it did sell when relisted.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-CORONA-18...121018516870?

so $10 - $15 looks good.

Id grade at VF or very low XF. But yes, about $10 is the correct price for this.
