Another coin from my friends inherited collection ... I've been all over "Grading Coins by Photograph" and ebay for pricing ... could use some expert opinions.

1826-Half-Cent

In hand this is a lovely chocolate brown coin, with IMHO original surfaces. Some surface dings and nicks.

I grade F12. My estimate of retail value is $40. My estimate of 'sell to a dealer' is $25.

Thoughts?

Thanks

David

My guess would be a cleaning at some point.
F12 Details - $35-40 estimate.

I am going with VF-30 details. The surfaces seem a bit off to me and could be worth around $40-50.

Perhaps the picture is a little off but IMO the surfaces are not original and the coin has likely been cleaned. In its current state I'd value it at $30.
