So we found a 1943 nickel with no mint mark. Truth be told it is worn rather severely but all the letters are at least legible. Under magnifying glass, there appears to never have been a mint mark. I will try to get pictures asap. I know Henning made some counterfeits but I thought he dated those 1944 or 1946. The lettering also appears a bit off. As always, Thanks for any and all help guys.

since you mention Henning, I guess that means you're talking about a nickel I had one that was so worn all of the mint mark was gone.

If it is a Greaser, what is the value of it?

To be honest I dont know. I flashed mine to several dealers at that coin show in the other thread, pretty much all the ones that asked "did you bring anything to sell", and I got no interest. I'm assuming gotta be worth more then the 1.70 silver value, but dont think to much more.

We have had several silver nickels over the years where the mint mark was so worn down that you could barely tell it had one.
