Well not really but, I did order two Liberty Seated dimes from a dealer I know off of his website. First one is an AU-55 1874 with arrows going into my Liberty Seated coinage type set. The second is an MS-63 1877 which is going into my 19th Century type set.

pretty cool stuff Ed.

Do you think the lower coin could pass for a MS-64?

In my opinion both coins look like they could be AU-58 and MS-64 respectively. The 1874 is going to remain it the salb and the 1877 is going into my Capital Plastics 19th Century type set holder. This holder has 27 openings and I will have 13 of the 27 holes filled when the coin arrives.

The 1874 is the third of the five obverse types for the Liberty Seated dimes. I have 3 of 4 obverse and 1 of 3 reverse varieties of the Half Dimes, 2 of 3 obverse and 1 of 3 reverse types of the quarters. No Halves or regular dollars yet and one Trade dollar. All are in the AU-50 to 58 range. When it is finally completed I will be displaying the set at local coin club shows.

I also have eight different 20th Century type set holders ranging from 18 to 38 openings each. The circulated set is complete, one of the uncirculated sets with 36 openings needs a zinc cent and a copper-nickel clad Ike, the one with 38 opening has 18 holes filled. This set requires eight gold pieces. I have an AU-58 1891-CC half eagle for the Liberty type.

Wow! I would be proud to own either of those. Then again, I'd have to have a 2nd or 3rd job to pay for them LOL. Well done Sir, those are beauties.
