Good evening
I have tried many sites looking for information on 1967 1 cent rotated die errors. I found many that mention 15 deg CCW rotation. Are there others that they have not mentioned? I have one that I found over 25 years ago that is rotated 90 deg CCW.
Does anyone have any input on this coin?
I would post a picture, but how to get a picture of both sides at the same time is a problem. Marking a coin holder is the only option I have seen, but as far as I'm concerned proves nothing.
Thanks Gerry

90 degrees is very unusual, especially if it is precisely 90 versus say 85 degrees. But there are more rotated coins out there than there were previsouly believed to be. The internet has allowed many finds such as yours to be "discovered". At 90 degrees you would have a very desirable coin. The value depends on condition and the degree of rotation. I would value it at say $25 to $200 depending on the attributes. Given that it came from circulation my off the cuff guess would be say $50 to $75. I or others here would be happy buyers I am sure........but you cannot sell on this site until you have more posts.
I would put it in a holder with the dove at horizontal and then photograph the other side. We here can then judge the rotation.

I really have to practice more with my camera. This is the best I could do with the pictures and still keep my ugly face out of it.

Fantastic coin, Gerry! I just went through my '67's and managed to find 2 quarters, 3 dimes, 2 nickels and 5 pennies. Unfortunately, only about 15 degrees but one of the dimes was CW.

Yes I will be selling it. I know I can't sell here so it will be going on ebay today. If I am allowed to I will post the item number and description to give anyone that is interested a chance at it. Gerry
