I've had this coin for quite a while, just wondering
If anyone can please tell me the history of it, and if it worth anything?
Thank you :)

It has some PVC damage, the steps don't look too clear, hard to grade from the picture but I would guess EF-aUNC and worth around $10, it's not a rare coin but a favourite design of many collectors.

To value it accurately we would need to see the other side, preferably outside of the holder it is currently in. It looks like it may have been cleaned which would reduce the value significantly. The reason I say it may have been cleaned it the colour around the detail is quite different to the fields.

Information from the net

Quote:
The Canberra Florin, designed by Kruger Gray, was issued to commemorative the opening of the now, Old Parliament House, in 1927. It is one of Australia's most popular coins and widely considered to be the most attractive Australian coin.
Australia's first commemorative coin marked the opening of Parliament House in Canberra.
The Federal Parliament transferred from Melbourne to Canberra in May 1927 and was opened in a grand ceremony by the future George VI known then as the Duke of York and his wife, The Queen Mum, as she became known as in her later years.

Although designed by Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal, who designed the normal circulating George V issues, the portrait is of a distinctive style, showing a crowned George V facing left.

The reverse, which features Parliament House framed in an ornamental panel and resting on crossed maces, with the date also in a heavily ornamented panel, was designed by George Kruger Gray
