Why post '68? Last year of US quarters with silver was 1964.

Canadian Quarters:
1870-1919 were 92.5% silver
1920-1967 were 80% silver
1967-1968 some were 50% silver

they are for their numismatic value but, not so much for their mineral value.

When Nickel peaked in 2007(?) they had about 28 cents of nickel in them. However, these days they have less than 10 cents of nickel.

I wouldn't hold my breath on the BV > FV any time soon.

I tuck away all copper and nickel that I come across but I don't actively seek it out by hunting through boxes. I just consider it to be normal savings that I can fall back on.

When I'm quarter searching there are a few varieties I look for. I keep all of my 1973 RCMPs for the large bead/small bead variety and the 1991 due to the low mintage.
