I see the bullion prices furnished here by Kitco shows a straight line for today, yet "somewhere" prices are fluctuating because the bullion prices shown by my LCS website has gold at 1677.13 and silver at 30.35

It really depends on where your LCS website gets their numbers from. I use a different website and they show slightly different. I wonder if your LCS may also be selling price, rather than actual spot.

I think they run off the open US market but it is closed today. I think the rise you see is what it is projected to rise at the opening.

I base all my prices off the CME futures market which is what prices are based off of. these markets are closed so any prices are a carry over from Monday.

All markets are closed in the US, including futures until 5 AM CST as futures start trading tomorrow, again at 5 AM CST.

You can check LME prices online I believe, but as I dont trade off the LME I dont know if they opened yet or are waiting for us.

BTW, kitco is getting all their feeds from the CME PMs futures.

hope that helps!

PS- gold trades in China, Japan, Europe, India, and Dubai,,but I believe their markets wont begin trading yet either.

Thanks so much! Very Interesting. I see now Kitco has begun to move and just checked my LCS site. Gold: Kitco 1,673.30, LCS 1,674.03; Silver: Kitco $30.29, LCS $30.37. So maybe my LCS is jiggling the pennies? Or just whose "spot" are these guys using who sell at spot?

I use that. Mine showed a change but not sure if that was from yesterday or not, I didnt check it yesterday.

I actually just checked it again and its now showing no change for the day even though it did earlier, strange

If you dont have access to a futures account theres a couple of good sites to gain access to qoutes.

Try out insidefutures.com and select the page for metal prices, on the left hand side of the page. Clicking on it will take you to the page with gold and silver including time of last trade.

hope that helps
