Looks to have a nice heavy cameo finish to me.

i have a few favorite canadian coins but I really like how the reverse stands out so much and looks 3D, add the nice color and thats what makes it one of my favorite coins. Its graded by NGC AU58.

Lots of collectors like the Canadian Coat of Arms reverse. I prefer the Machin bust rather than the Gillick bust for the obverse. It is a pity that the Maklouf bust was not used for the Canadian 50 Cents.

@jessvc1 I really like this coin also. The Coat of Arms really caught my eye.

I have had a 1963 Canadian half since I was a kid - a friend of my parents (who was Canadian) gave it to me - It's in AU condition. The RCM does an excellent job making very finely detailed coins - much more so than the US mint (probably due to the US mint's greater production pressures).

Canadian half dollars are my favourite coins ever! Plus modern issues have crazy low mintages.
