I found this copper coin recently but cannot find a match on the internet. It is 1mm thick and about 23mm in width. On one side is a crown with 4 smaller objects. The other side features a shield with another crown on top. I cannot see a date anywhere on the coin because it is probably worn away. I do not see any lettering either. However it would still be nice to identify the coin. Any guesses? The coin was found in Germany if that helps. Thanks for looking!

Two coins that I know of use that type of cruciform arrangement. One is the Liard coins of Liege, Namur and various cities around the Spanish Netherlands.
The other is the Real Preto of medieaval Portugal and the Iberian peninsula.
I think yours belongs to the latter group as the main coat of arms seems to be Spanish; Leon perhaps?

Thanks a bunch alganbagerap! After your help I did a little more research and it does seem the coin is a 1 Liard from the Spanish Netherlands. It's too bad the coin is not in better condition but after being in the ground for 300 years, I'm still amazed it looks as good as it does!
