Unless you're a coin dealer, how would you justify it to the IRS as a justifiable business expense ?

I'm an infectious diseases physician. Not as much scrofula going around anymore, though, which these coins were originally meant to cure. Wonder how well they'd work on bird flu...?

philadelphian,
Thanks Doc. That was great.
Do you think it'd work on Hep-C?

Well, being familiar with the "gold standard" therapy for hep c (as we say in the business), I'd say a gold touch coin like this might be less effective, but a darn sight more pleasant!
But "Doc" is what you call either the best poker player in town, or the worst doctor in town!

In my youth in Cape Town, it was one and the same person, my uncle.

No disrespect meant with my use of 'Doc.' This expression has been around for a long time and probably always will remain (ask any corpsman or military doctor). Doctor could mean bad things too. Like to "doctor a coin." If this term bothers you, I will refrain from its use on this forum. Personally, I don't care what a physician is called. I only care about being properly treated and a cure.
The use of certain words really set me off but they have been so deeply rooted into our language, not even a Hurst Tool could extricate them from our vocabulary.
I'm not here to alienate myself or potential new friends. I already achieve this in my own A.O.R.

Aw, I'm just kidding! And I like to use that definition of "Doc" when I can. Call me what you like, just don't call me late for supper, as they say.

philadelphian, If you are ever in the S.E. part of Virginia, I'll buy you an early dinner. And when you find a less destructive cure for Hep-C, please let me know .
