Would it be possible to add a button that would allow you to skip to the last page of a thread, so you could see the newest posts quicker.
Right now, you have to select the very last page, and when the thread has a lot of posts, you need to scroll down through a lot of pages.

I pushed for this once before a while back, but nothing ever came of it. I still agree! I would like to see this added!

I don't see a button like that Bobby. Only one for going to the next Topic.

back on the list of topics, right column shows who/when made the last post, and the arrow icon Bobby showed goes to that last post.

That button works, but I for example do almost all of my topic surfing via the "recent forum topics" bar on the left, therefore I never see that button once I'm in the thread. A minor inconvenience to be honest, but it's just a bit clunkier to navigate to the last page when you surf that way (which I believe is faster)

It's on the active topics page too, which is where everybody should start if you ask me.

Thanks Bobby, now I'm overwhelmed by the sheer organization of it all. Just let me crawl back into my uninformed box! Haha

Quote: back on the list of topics, right column shows who/when made the last post, and the arrow icon Bobby showed goes to that last post. Thanks - I didn't even notice that before. However, like HippieOutcast I also look at the New Forum Topics and Recently Active sections on the main page. Could this button be added inside of each thread? Next to the page selection?

Here's what I do... I have my FF setting so that new windows open in new tabs, I'm sure this can be done in other browsers to. Go to the active topics page. This will show active topics since your last visit or manual reset. Manual reset is the "AR" button at the top left of the forum table. I go down the entire list and click on each topic that I want to look at while holding down the control key, this opens them in a new tab. After they are all opened in new tabs, then I go and look at them, closing each tab as I finish with them. When I get back to the active topics page I click the reset button. If there was any new activity since you first loaded the page then they will show here now.

I do the same thing as Bobby, except I have an extension that allows me to protect and lock the active topics tab. This forces all clicked links to open in a new tab without having to hold down CTRL. I am lazy like that.

Jbuck, where would someone find an extension like that? (What's it called anyhow)

The one I use is called Tab Mix Plus. It is Mozilla approved, so it shows up in the add-on search.

I just press the scroll wheel button, on a link. And they open in new tabs.
