I have in the area of 45 silver coins to sell about 30 Mercury dimes, all in VG/VF/XF/AU state, all mint marks, teens/twenties/thirties/forties Should I bundle here? Should I bundle the bay? Should I individualize? I also have VG Barber dimes, G/VG/F Standing Lib Quarters and XF/AU Franklin halves - same dilemma any entry level merc collectors interested in a nice starter set? any and all advice welcome as I do want to dump the surplus and begin saving towards the last 12 coins needed in my all AU/MS Merc Set (teen and twenties Mint Marks)

Bulk selling usually ends up with a lesser amount, per coin, in the end, unless there is a rarity in the mix. Stranger things have happened in a bidding frenzy. I am debating a similar issue with about 40 1960-1980's Jefferson nickels in AU/BU condition; list 'em individually or bulk 'em and get 'em gone.

If you choose to bundle let me know. What years are the franklins? If it was me tho and I had the time I would sell them individually on the bay.

Remember that paypal takes a their fee+% of the transaction. So many small transactions will add up the fee paypal takes away from you.
In Sweden, they charge me 50c+ a percentage. Not that much fun to sell something for maybe $4 and paypal take 25% right away

Put them on here and not worry about ebay fees and you can accept money order/check/cash and cut Paypal out of the equation as well.

Yeah, I have a few of the Franklin set I need to finish, so I'm curious what years you have there.
Don't own any SLQs, either. Definitely would like to see what you have.

I would second the suggestion of putting them on here at your price and if not moving the way you'd like, send them to ebay. I'd go individually, despite paypal fees.

Third to the suggestion of selling them all here, keep these in the extended CCF family.
Depending on how much you want for some of them, I'm interested in the Franklins as well.

I don't have a large foot hold in Mercs at this point but between them and Morgans I know which sets I would like to get started. I would love to know about a Merc starter kit.

A) thank you all for responding B) I agree that keeping them in CCF family is the way to go and being both a supporter of this forum and an honest dude, you can all rely on the fact that I will not rip you off C) I'll list the details of the coins/lots in this thread and then post them as auctions within the next 24/48 hours

Just to add my Two Cents to the subject, mixed lots on common dates seems to be the best. Not singles and not one huge lump...small, paletable sizes seem to do well.
