Now that I've purchased my 5th 100-ounce silver bar, I thought I would share a picture of my growing stack:

My-Growing-Stack-Of-100-Ounce-Silver-Bars

That's one Engelhard extruded bar, two Johnson, Matthey & Mallory poured bars, one Johnson & Matthey poured bar and (my latest and new favorite) one Johnson & Matthey stamped bar.

I order these online from Goldmart and never know what I'm going to get other than the manufacturer (and even then I was surprised to get the two Johnson, Matthey & Mallory bars when ordering J&M bars).

I just talked to a service rep at Goldmart and he said I should feel free to request a certain type of bar next time I order, although there are no guarantees they will have that type in stock. I think I will definitely request another stamped bar next time I order.

I have to say, btw, that the Engelhard is my least favorite by far. The poured Engelhards that I have seen are things of beauty, but the extruded ones seem a bit boring...

I agree the JM bars are much nicer to look at than the engelhard brick. I suppose at the end of the day tough silver is silver.

I used to think that as well until I found out that some people collect silver bars and pay crazy premiums for certain types...

Nice hoard, swrbxxx! I'm especially jealous of the fact that you seem to have scored some boxes for your stamped JM bars.

BarryG,

Luckily I got both in matching boxes, I seem to come across the boxes often in my adventures. Next one I see Ill pick up and send to you. A bar like that deserves a nice display box!

Awesome old bars, love them! Do you guys have a preference for the poured JM bars? I've always liked the shorter wider ones, but the more narrow ones with the Maple leaf look NICE!

Does a bunch of 100-ounce bars qualify as silver porn?
