what do you think? one side seems flattened and the side shows the edges rolled. it is well circulated so I thought it may be PMD but there is no obvious damage to the other side to indicate mutilation by say a hammer
thoughts?

I think your first one has been squashed and therefore PMD. When I first saw the straight line on the edge I thought partial collar but because the reverse is flat I think squashed.

The second coin seems to have a planchet flaw. I vaue most of my minor planchet flaws and laminations around the $1-2 mark and I think that wold be about right for your coin. What year is it though as there doesn't seem to be the SD? cold just be because of the flaw though.
