Hi,
I just noticed that there is the option to post your ecrater sales here. Was wondering if anyone has had any success and if it would be worth trying it out.
Thanks!

I have purchased coins from a member through the auctions here and their ecrater store. I have bookmarks to several members CCF auctions and their ecrater stores. I have been checking these often.

I have purchased a few coins on ecrater. Occasionally, there are some fair coins at fair prices on there.

NOT because it is ecrater, but, as always, buyer beware. There are a lot of overpriced AND overgraded raw coins on there.....or any site for that matter.

There are some reputable coin sellers on there though. A couple of individuals, I buy from regularly.

I've had a few transactions with a couple CCF members through ecrater. Has always been a positive experience.

I have both bought and sold. I have mostly bought from CCF members, which has always been top notch. My sales can be quite slow, but it's a good place to park them before/if you move them to ebay.

One thing to remember about eCrater, there is no oversight like there is on ebay. You can't report counterfeits or blatant scams. eCrater is a tool for individuals to create a web site only. It is provided by Google. Feedback on there can only be given if the financial end of the transaction is done through Paypal or Google Wallet, no other payment allows for feedback.

I closed my ebay account in 2009 and moved to eCrater. I felt at that time ebay was starting to act too much like the federal government and since then they have even gotten worse. Traffic wise, eCrater is number 2 to ebay but still only a drop in the bucket to what ebay pulls in. Sales are much slower there BUT there are no fees of any kind which allows sellers to charge lower prices. It also has no time limit on the listing and you can post as many photos as you want free. Many pluses, just not the amount of sales one could expect on ebay.
