Looking to buy some 2X2 holding coin pages for 3 ring binder. I have bought some in the past that were junk - ripped easily.

I recently got some Cowens at a buck each from the LCS. The Cowens are definitely sturdy, but pics of the BCW brand (claiming to be PVC free) look the same quality.

Since the BCWs are less than half the price, I am wondring whether Cowens is just the "name brand" and BCW the same, but generic?

Are the BCWs as sturdy?

I have used some BCW that I got for free from a friend. They are not the best quality that I have ever used but they certainly were not the worse. I would say on a scale from 1-10, I would give them a 8. I have only been collecting, however, for around a year or a little long. So, take what I say for what it is worth. I am not as qualified to answer this question as others, but no one else seemed to be answering at all.

Thanks for the info - anything helps!

Some of the bad ones I had ripped (from the weight of the coins) when I turned the pages - these were given to me and now reside in a landfill somewhere.

I use BCW pages. They are not as sturdy as vinyl, but the upside is that they contain no vinyl. I'd rather replace pages occasionally than replace coins.

Thanks Cap for the info.

Also - thanks Stud - that's even less than Wizard coin. Their price is 19.49, but with 8.95 shipping it makes it 27.94 for the same deal.
