I finally picked up my first National Bank note this week, which also happens to be from my hometown! Very exciting find for me: Anyone else have some pics of their own hometown Nationals they'd like to share?

That's pretty nice. I find myself growing moderately interested in these....but you really hooked me with 'hometown'. There's got to be bunch of them from Chicago.
It might be fun to have one of those.
Excuse me...gotta go shopping now. LOL

I know absolutely nothing about notes. Having said that, I have subscribed to this thread so I can learn more because that note is beautiful.

I've been looking for my hometown for a while. I think the only ones that exsist are type 2 1929 series...
@Buddy...Chicago should be an easy one to find. Typically with these the larger the city the less expensive the note.

Got a great deal on this one a while back. I'm not a big note collector, but this one from my hometown was worth it.

Great note, specksynder! I'm always on the lookout for small sized nationals from El Paso TX, but they're a little hard to come by. There's actually a $5 1929 note on ebay right now in decent condition, but the seller wants almost $400 for it. I'll hold out for something more reasonable.

A member of our club has one for our hometown. Hemet, CA is pretty small so less than 20 National notes.are known. The last one for sale realized $28,000 in a Heritage sale. Probably won't get one anytime soon.

Sadly, my hometown did not issue. But I do have several notes from my home county.
