Ok trying to figure out where the mint mark is on this coin.  I found coins on ebay that show the small D, but this coin doesn't seem to have it. Trying to find out if this is actually a silver coin. |

The mintmark should be on the reverse, above the L in "Half Dollar." However, it may have been minted in Philadelphia, which would mean no mintmark.  This is a picture of where it would be if your coin has one. Edited by The Silver Searcher

If you find a small "D" under the eagles right talon it is a Denver mint coin. If no mint mark is present it is a Philadelphia mint coin |

Found it! It does have a D under the talon.
Thanks guys.
EDIT: Bit confused... so are all the 1964 Kennedy coins 90% silver?

Yes,1964 was the last year for 90% silver coins.

Yes all 64 Kennedy's are 90% silver ....65-70 are 40%.

Also beginning 1992 to date, quarters and dimes minted 90% silver too.
