I picked up this 1880 o Morgan dollar for $25 dollars and it doesn't seem to have been cleaned or brushed, only problem I have is that all the lettering seems too perfect These were taken by my phone and I should have better shots when I come back from new york *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

I don't see anything wrong with it. Most of mine are very similar to yours, with that circulated cameo look, and I know for a fact mine are real. If you still doubt it a little, try the magnet test. Oh and to the forum!!

Not that I'm much of an expert, but it looks fine to me. Like that "circulated cameo" look.

It looks fine to me also. But if you think about it, why would anyone mint an 80 O instead of the CC?

Fatman, I was thinking that too. No one ever said people that don't like CCF criminals and counterfeiters were smart.

Thats good to hear, I was really only worried because the lettering isn't faded or missing any letters, this is my oldest coin now and even my 1911 V nickel is a lot more worn down you cant even barely see the lettering

looks real to me. Bobby had a real Morgan and a fake Morgan at the F.U.N. Coin show and was asking people to decide. If you had a pocket scale, it would have been easy to decide. But the first thing I noticed was that the fake Morgan had a medal alignment, not a coin alignment.
