Need help grading 1862 3CS piece. I'm new here so any help on Varieties and grades as well as advice will be well appreciated. Sorry if photo's are less than optimal - I'm still learning what works with my camera and lighting. Is this worth TPG?

that is one nice trime! I think I see slight wear on the C and stars so I would have to go with high AU on this.

Can't wait to see what those wiser than I think.

I'm terrible at these but ill say MS62 if that's just a weak strike. Looks like a die clash also. Very nice coin!

I have no idea how to grade these, but I must say that I do love the toning on this one!

Beautiful toning and great clash! This is one of my absolute favorite series, definitely top 3!! First coin I actually bought after inheriting the family collection was a 1861 thrime! Mine doesn't have a clash though:(
Anyways.. It's kinda hard to tell from the pics but I'd say AU-50. With the wear at the star points, and it looks like some wear on the shield (but its hard to tell from the photos), and on the reverse the arrows appear to have some pretty good wear so I really dont think its MS. But I guess they could have weak strikes, I've just never heard anyone talk about it, but they dont come up that often. Actually, I hope thats the case because it would mean I undergraded mine too! If you could get some more pics it'd be great and alot easier to tell for sure. I know these are very hard to photo due to the size. And I can't wait to hear more opinions!
But ya, I'd say a solid AU. Again beautiful toning!

It could possibly grade mid AU but the glare on the obverse makes it hard to say.
