Once again it's not a high grade coin but my family's coins were all pulled from a cash register from the 1930's to the late 60's so they are mostly well-circulated... but they cost face value :)
Before I took an interest in examining these coins my mom was going to take them to a local dealer and sell them in bulk, probably for less than melt value. We sold a huge tub of wheats, a tub of steelies, a quart of
War Nickels, and a small bag of Mercs before I applied the brakes. Sure wish I had those coins back...
Anyway, I scrounged up a couple hundred
War Nickels which escaped that first sale and just examined all of them. The only notable varieties found were the 41-S large date I posted earlier and this Doubled Eye. It was an exciting find... I'm really enjoying the hunt for varieties.
