Yours is a result of Die Deterioration. A true doubled die has the doubling on the die itself there is no progression toward doubling. The first strike to the last strike would have the same doubling. In U.S. numismatics there is a clear distinction between collectable doubling and other forms of doubling (deterioration, Machine Doubling). While I am no expert in Canadian collecting it seems to me, based on many posts in the Canada section, That you all up north also collect "doubling" types that would not be collectable here.
