Well after a longer than expected business trip to Costa Rica, I am back with some new additions. These all came from a local friend in Costa Rica who tries to find silver and gold for me. (All of which is very hard to come by) Paid $80 US next my dealer had all these waiting for me yesterday at my LCS. Now this is a RARE JM bar looks good next to it's brother which I bought about a year ago (though this new one might be sold if the price/trade is right) Lastly this little guy, paid $5 Which means one huge silver premium per oz.

Very nice! Love all of them! You must have built an impressive collection of the JM bars. Those 5 oz's look so cute. Are they worth a lot over melt? Plus, it's interesting to see the US 90% made their way to Costa Rica. I just don't see much of them around here. I guess I'll have to look harder.

Are you sure those US coins are real? Also you should have paid your friend more than that.

$80 for all those US coins? Looks to me you paid way below melt!

@Amaths The small 5OZ JM bars usually bring in $250+ on ebay no where near what I paid. It seems I have a harder time buying 90% in the US every dealer wants over spot. When I pay CDN spot on all 90% US my dealer gets in. @mkman123 all checked out to be real, my friend only wanted $50 US for them. Gave him $80. Its usually silver and gold jewelry or raw nuggets he brings me, this was a first for coins. Its not like Panama where bullion can be found easily.

Sweet deals, swrbxxx! I have seen Mercury dimes going at spot. But they were too worn so I hesitated. Unless the silver spikes up, I don't see much of a market for the dimes except going to a smelter. Please let me know when you are going to melt them. I might be able to rescue some of your halves and dollars by trading in my dimes and quarters, if you are interested.

Great pick ups....looking to get myself a 5oz like those JM bars once the baby is here and things calm down financially. Right now just selling to raise money to take the week off of work and not go into debt. Have a few leads so far. Baby comes on Tuesday morning....in 40 hrs I will be a daddy again. Haha. Kidding, I'm excited!
