I know without a shadow of a doubt that I would have sent that one to a TPG. Only a complete novice wouldn't know what that date means. Report this Post to the Staff

Regardless of the slam-dunk physical appearance, it's in the wrong location. It's fake. And as for the seller, he's got 400 Feedbacks for purchases and a grand total of 6 as a seller, all in the last 6 weeks, and only three of those were coins including just one US coin. He's a buyer of gemstones, not a coin dealer. Not exactly an encouraging record to trust his authentication skills. Report this Post to the Staff

g048406 Pillar of the Community 861 Posts	Posted 01/21/2013 6:39 pm Coin is a DEFINATE COUNTERFEIT. The easiest way to spot this common counterfeit is to look at the fonts on the reverse. Look at the "T" and "E" in STATES. The bottom of the "T" and "E" on a real Morgan is straight horizontal.....this counterfeit has the fancy curvy fonts which can be seen at the bottom of all the letters. Report this Post to the Staff
