It's no secret I'm a huge fan of the early "S" mint Morgans. This is one I picked up about ten years ago. It's an old green label holder. Your opinions are welcome.

MS64PL is what I like it as today and the price I'd pay for it. I bet they graded this coin MS63PL.

I will go with MS-64 PL. Wouldn't be too surprised if it graded a point lower.

The cameo is nice, there is just too many hits and ticks on the face to reach a 64 today. 1878-S are not a tough coin in high grade to find either, so it would take a special one to reach MS65 IMO.

Everyone was very close if not spot on. The coin is much nicer in hand as my photography skills are almost.... adequate. I believe this could be MS64PL if re-submitted but I would never do that. I'm a big fan of old green label holders.
