We have been picking up at least 2 boxes of pennies everyday for the past 2 weeks. Then we will sort through them later.
The banks have all mentioned Feb. 4th as the date, they will be accepting pennies, but not giving anymore out to anyone!

i work in a grocery store, and they order change from the armoured couriers, and the pennies were not available to order anymore from them as of thursday this week.. just f.y.i.

darn! I was just about to place an order for a box from G4S tomorrow at work. Arghhh I guess its going to be hectic bank trip on Monday and Tuesday for me

Just a note guys..... apparently, they are not allowed to give them out on the 4th. now that is a monday so friday feb 1st is the actual last day...unless your bank is open on the saturday. Just verify with your bank if they will give them to you or not on the 4th.

Nope, no pennies on Feb 4. Saturday Feb 2 is your last chance of getting rolls -- and stores won't be handing them out in change either, starting on the 4th. And things are getting tough already. I hit up three banks yesterday and two were just about out of pennies -- one had just $18 and the other had only $10. No boxes at all. Don't wait till the last minute if you can help it 'cause they might be long gone...

picked up a full box today from TD....GOT MY 2006 NO P NO LOGO MAGNETIC! what a day! And I also found the old style $50 bill 3 digit radar at work

Finally got off my butt today and hit 2 BofM branches. Walked away with 4+ boxes. I could have gotten a few more, but the wife threatened to divorce me after I plunked down the 4th box. Looks like I'll be doing a lot of sorting over the next few weeks. I'll let all know if there are any treasures found.

Figured I'd pick up 4 boxes today and join the crowd. haha. The lady at CIBC said that had =a lot= more in the back if wanted those too. Unfortunitly, the wife was with and I think I'd have the same problem as mikem. ;)

we have a td branch open on sunday 11-4. I was able to pick up 4 boxs. 2 boxs were mint rolls. 2011, and 2012. the other were g4 mixed rolls..i was quite happy with the new pennies.. and somewhat surprised.. I'm quessing they must not have rotated their stock when boxes came in.how else would a full sealed box of 2011 pennies still be around..  |
