Hard to tell from your photos. Luster looks impaired.

It looks like the ENT in cent are all doubled on the reverse of this coin. Is this unusual?

I'm not sure but it looks like a fingerprint smudge on the obverse. Is there a way to conserve this without cleaning?

I would guess AU50. As far as the smudges and prints (?), an acetone dip should be ok I think. But I would wait for someone who has experience with that first.

Coming back after viewing the other IHCs, lower diamond looks a bit too good to be true. So does the luster.

I've seen a few very expertly recarved diamond on IHCs and some not so expert jobs! This could have had that or tooling done, I agree with vermontensium, the luster does apear to me to be impaired or AT (though it could be from the camera's white balance setting). As to grade I think it's an UNC. details. at best. Check out this coin from Rick Snow http://www.indiancent.com/7656-1904...c-ps-15.htmlThat is a MS65RD with a similar color that has fantastic luster to show the difference.

I agree with you westcoin, the surface texture on this coin isn't consistent with highly graded TPG coins and it really bothered me on this coin. This coin's ware on the feathers and shield are inconsistent with the coloration too. I agree that this coin was doctored to some extent - just how I'm not qualified to say but I'm hopeful someone will chime in to indicate how this is done. I truly appreciate an honest assessment of the coins I post without pulling any punches. My goal is to learn as much as I can about how these coins were modified and learn to recognize the signs when I see them. Your un-restrained inputs are essential to my learning process and are very much appreciated. Marty

Marty, I think this coin may have been heat treated. Baked in something? I know Morgans are baked in potatoes to make them have a certain look and color. I can't say for sure what was used on this IHC, but it just has the look, that's not right.

Thanks westcoin. I'm slowly putting together a Vf+ set of Indians and these really don't fit in well with the others. Any idea what I should expect for a value on these. I was thinking ebay as a venue and just see where they go. Opinions?
