I picked this Morgan earlier this afternoon ( on hold for purchase anyway) and wanted to hear what the CCF has to say. I think that it is a pretty nice specimen.  Thank you for your interest!  (sellers cropped images)   Edited by oih82w8

Yup I would say MS 64 if that isn't. Massive gouge out of the Chin jaw area

A few obverse hits, I say MS 64 too. And I love it... nice coin.

I am thinking either MS-63 or 64. Not easy to grade from the pictures.

Is this an 80 over 79 or am I seeing things? The top loop of the second 8 looks "funky". I wouldn't put it past you...  Edited by dave700x

Looks to be MS-63.
Is it me or does the "S" mint mark look like an upside down 5? Maybe it's one of the S over S varieties.

Me thinks MS64 also maybe 80/79 VAM8 as well.

I have no idea where to place a value on this coin; PCGS - No value listed ebay History - none found Numismedia - Nope VAMWorld - nothing recent (2008 for a NGC version) I did find a couple PL (real close) & DMPL coins but those can't compare Probably paid too much, just south of a 100, but I like it! |
