From what I see in the pictures, it looks like the doubling is flat and shelf-like, in other words, just Machine Doubling. The fact that it also affects the mint mark is a sign of MD, since the mintmarks were added after the dies were made until 1990. The mushy letters are a sign of Die Deterioration as well. Better, closer pictures may prove me wrong, but I'm just saying from what I can see in the pictures.
My problem, is that my dime shows def. doubling on the mintmark. I googled 1968 DDO and it hit on a guy that had his certified and it had the exact same squashed look on the date. BUT....his had no mintmark.
