A recent acquisition. Graded by PCGS.

Any guesses on the grade?

Wow. That is a straight-up glorious coin. The toning makes for very difficult grading - nearly impossible at this size - but if those are a small patch of scratches in the right obverse field at 3:00, I'll guess that this one won't exceed MS63.

Yeah, I'm planning to get some high res photos taken of it. The symmetry of the toning on the obverse is what really drew me to it. I'll see if anyone else wants to take a stab at it before I post the PCGS grade given.

I think I see some wear on liberty's leg so I will go with AU 55. The eye appeal is fantastic on this dime!

I'll weigh in at AU-58 based on the wear on the chest and leg. Great toning makes it hard to grade sub MS but that's the way I see it.

EFLargeCents was closest.

I guess a not so great quality photo and the toning make this a tough one. I think the toning gives the appearance of wear where there really isn't.

Here you go.

The camera exposure may have made it (falsely) appear that the lighter areas had wear.

t-bone, what a dime
i mean oh wow, I love it

my only humble request is waiting a day or at least half a day before you share the grade next time, I really wanted to take a crack at it...I was MS61

also, why do you blot out the verification number?

Wow wow wow! Love the toning! Absolutely STUNNING! I would have guessed MS-63, well that's what I thought after checking out the coin before scrolling down, but I think 65 is appropriate... Wow... Just wow... What a beauty!!
I'd love to see some high res images of it still! Just to drool some more...

That's where I was MS64/65 at least, but I arrived too late to play. A simply gorgeous coin Tbone! Thanks for sharing it.
