VG Details, environmental damage, but maybe the photo is just blurry. It looks like some corrosion on the obverse surfaces. Otherwise, VG8.

I see a lot of large cents with this kind of look. It looks like it has VG details, but the net grade is probably good.

Yep concur with VG8 details rough or tooled surfaces. Possibly from old corrosion that was removed.
