1936 Quarter Question - Coin Community Forum

HoosierDaddy Pillar of the Community United States 1164 Posts	Posted 02/05/2013 10:35 am I have 4 1936 quarters. All 4 coins do not have the "dot". But 2 have a "G" just to the left of where the dot should be. Has anyone seen this before? Pics later. Report this Post to the Staff

On better inspection, after taking pics and blowing them up, it was a tiny gouge that with the naked eye looked like a capital "G". Even with the loupe it looked like a "G"!
