Hello I hope I am not getting banned for trying to identify too many coins on here Does anyone know how many of these Josip Broz Tito Yugoslavian medal/medallions/commemoratives were made and what they are worth each? I know they probably aren't worth the sentimental value as they have been with my family ever since they were issued and now been passed to me but I am still curious if there is a numismatic value to them too. I have not found them in the World coins Krause nor the Unusual World coins Krause Here's photos of back and front of each of the 3 medallions:

Nobody knows anything about them?
I only know that the golden and bronze colored ones are 80th Birthday ones of Marsal Josip Broz Tito and the silver colored one is for his presidency or something.
But I could not find any information anywhere at all about mintage, value, who minted them, who they were for nor if they are mdeals, medallions or commemorative coins.
They weigh 40-60 grams each and are about 1.5 times the diameter of a Victorian Crown.

No luck finding more information except that the middle one is Silver and the gold colored one seems to be Silver also, the bronze colored one seems to be copper. As I've written in first post they were in my family ever since they were issued.

In 1971, Tito introduced constitutional changes that provided for a collective presidency, a 22 member body consisting of elected representatives from 6 republics and two autonomous provinces. Chairmanship of the body was to take turns between the republics.
I'm wondering if the middle medal has to do with that.
It would be nice to see each of the reverses as a single image and the badge might tell us more.

I think on the silver one it says when translating the kyrillic: "u spomen preoga predslednishtva sfrl" my Yugoslavian/Serbian is a bit rusty to translate that into English though.
The other 2 are I am pretty sure are saying something like "For the 80th birthday" on reverse.
But I will make some new scans as soon as I find the time.

mvojnovic: thanks for confirming this! No wonder he did have a lot of commemoratives and plaques made when he's been the president of Yugoslavia for such a long time.

Interesting note the 1980 is that the serial No? Conspiracy theory : Reigning for so long might be the reason why the Queen Of England did not step down yet as it would cost so much to move all of her coins out of circulation and make so many new ones with a new King

1980 is year of banknote *(also year of titos death) Oh in my country we change coins every few years :) and trust me every change of currency one state can put into her advantage. For example change from old currencies into Euro all governments that participated gain not a small profit, because such thinks cost so they have to take percentage :D Same with change from old to new dinars in my country, so I guess thats not reason why Queen is still in power. ...and here she is with Tito: :) http://euobserver.com/media/src/75b...f8710279.jpg

Nice photo of the Queen and Tito! When was that?
Was it taken in Titos palace on the Brioni islands by any chance? Went there to the Brioni islands to see his palace as a tourist a few years ago. Pretty impressive place.

"By the way Tito had a huge collection of stamps, old cars, paintings, watches, coins..."
Yeah some of it is showcased on the Brioni islands, but I don't remember all so I will go there again in the future at some point:)
