Has anybody else found these while searching through Kennedies? This is twice now in about a 6 month period I've found these. At first they seem to be a "rotated" half, but examining further it seems to make a hollow sound when slammed on the table. If you keep slamming on a surface it will open, into two parts.I guess this is pretty cool but much rather have the "rotated" instead. Anyone else come across these? -joey sorry,no pictures.

I think this now makes three times this coin has made an appearance on the this forum.

You can see the seam running around the rim. One coin is hollowed out leaving the rim and the other coin is trimmed and thinned to set inside. Almost flawless . At least this one is silver. It came from my father about 40 years ago. About 2 weeks ago I asked him if he remembered the coin and where he got it and he did not have a clue as to what I was talking about (he's 82, give him some slack).

If you dig hard enough in the coin roll hunting forum, several people have found them. I personally have found 8 or 9, all with mexican centavos coins on the inside of the reverse.
Very easy to find with a sound check of your coins when searching them.

I am still hoping to find one after around 80 boxes. I drop each one I get and listen to it.
