I got a big box from the mint today...was pretty excited..thought maybe it was some of the stuff I had ordered....When I opened it I was not excited anymore....maybe this is why the mints shipping is kinda expensive.....Got 5 numis sheets and a big box..haha

Why couldn't they have put it in an envelope like they do for the 20 for 20 coins?

There are envelope made with cardboard that canadapost used to send full panel stamps. Those envelopes come in many different sizes and the large one can easily fit a stack of legal size paper.

But serious, I think the reason is simply the Mint only have stocked up a few different sizes of boxes and envelopes.

Shipping was 7.99 but I ordered a bunch of other stuff also with that shipping rate....everything was either backordered or not available yet..so they sent the one item in the order they had in stock.

I requested some COA some time ago. Typical COA, 4x4cm. It came in cardboard they use for 1-2 coins (~21x14x5 cm)

The three 20-4-20 hockey coins I ordered came in a cardboard box a few days ago. What a waste! I was hoping for something else in the box.
