A couple of weeks ago, I've posted here about a 1890-CC Morgan I've purchased.

Now that I have it, feel free to share your thoughts, they are appreciated.

Probably AU-50 detail, although the breast feathers show more wear than I'd like to see on a Carson City Morgan dollar in AU condition. Fields have a lot of marks and there are various small hits including one right on the second C of the mintmark. Your photos are blurry but they seem to show some hairline scratches that are not so visible in the seller photos. So, I'd presume the coin has been cleaned. Hopefully the price was appropriately discounted.

The 1890-CC is obviously a better date but it's not too difficult to find original, uncleaned examples. If this one satisfies than enjoy; it's a cool coin in any grade. If however originality and/or an MS grade is important to you I'd keep looking.

I'd up the price to $160+ as silver keeps going up and CC dollars are always pretty easy to sell. but not $200 for this example, it's reverse is pretty nice the Obverse has seen better days. If it tones all golden thats a plus down the road. The fields looked to have once been pretty polished probably was a PL coin off the dies, that's why the fields show the little scratches and bigger dings so easily, toned out it might really help, I'd put this one is an old 2x2 envelope for a couple or three years to help it's look, but that's me. Others prefer the look of a white coin scuffed or not.

I feel better about it, having seen your images. There's only one variety of this coin with a date located so far to the right, and the mint mark in the old pics didn't seem to match the configuration I'd expect from that variety. Your pics make it much clearer, and much more convincing.
