I have graded these as XF40 and XF45 respectively.

Any thoughts?

I'm at VF30 for the '51 and VF35 for the 55. I see too much wear on the leaves of the reverse to be in the XF range. Also, the ear and hair have worn together, which keeps these from XF IMO. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to add these to my Dansco!

And I'm with the group and going with VF30 for both. The hair details and the worn Liberty are the major focal points that would be considered VF30.

I'd agree with VF30 on both coins the 1855 might push VF35.
