Well, since I am a little bummed about my Flying Eagle, I have decided to show one of my nicer coins. It does have a rim bump under the date which would hurt the value - how much, I am not for sure. How much do you think this coin is worth with the rim bump?

Maybe like 8% less value with the damage mark. It might not really hurt the value though.

Was the coin cleaned though? It looks kind of bright. But I'm guessing it's the photo.

You're welcome. Others should come in and post what they think about the value any time soon.

Is that pinkish color on the devices or just the photo?
Usually a sign of a past cleaning. Has that original grey in the fields.
The rim bump albeit small is damage. Probably reduces value 10-15%.

To my knowledge, the coin hasn't been cleaned, but I am not 100% sure. Here is a picture from a different angle.

Yeah it don't look cleaned now. The mark isn't bad.

Looks like a VF20 to me and likely has had a light cleaning at some point. IMO Value in this condition of around $70.

In the 2nd photo it looks much better but the surfaces still don't look totally original.

Okay thanks. I payed around $60 for the coin so I am pretty close to your price estimate.

with VF20, but I think 50$ is about what this coin would fetch on ebay. Personally, the missing motto letters will keep me from bidding on this coin.

Not sure about the value but it is a nice coin in a popular series. Are you planning to start a Capped Bust set?

I also think this is a VF-20 coin.

IMO, this is an Overton-122 (R1).

Understandable, but the loss of portions of E PLURIBUS UNUM is pretty common during CBH mintage.

I know it is not uncommon, but I wouldn't buy such coin for my collection. There are plenty of lower grade halfs with full motto:

I would personally rather have a nice example of the coin without the motto than a lower grade coin with the motto.

Am I being unrealistic to think this coin is pretty similar to mine? (without the rim bump of course)

And, not to mention, this one is missing motto letters as well.
