I just got picked and listed this BIN for a $1.50 with shipping. I didn't check that this year in the 1890s is worth more than the others of that decade. What is the grade of this coin. I am wondering how much I should have listed it for.

Your post is confusing to me ... did you just purchase this or did you just list it for sell.

If for sale ... wondering why you expect the CCF members to guide you when you admit to not doing any basic research on your own ... a 15 second search on Google will give you a ton of info on a well-circulated and corroded 1894 IHC.

Suggest you purchase a few reference books (start with a 2013 Red Book) and acquire some knowledge on your own time.

Probably a VG10 details specimen. I guess a BIN price of 3-5$ could have worked as well, as 94' is a bit of a better date (nothing serious, but is worth a bit more).

Yes, probably not a big deal. Just was checking the grade, I thought it was VG Details too but thought maybe it could pass as fine. Should have listed it for a couple bucks more. I am not use to these BIN, don't usually use them but got 5000 free ones this week.

Not a rotated revers, a rotated picture.

That's cold.

But with that being said, I'm with you on this one friend. It stinks to a high horse that he is selling something potentially to one of us to our benefit then asking us to kick ourselves in the shin. That is the height of arrogance or naivete, either being in poor form.

Buddy16cat, I would love to help you, but it's too late for this coin, maybe next time.

Maybe you lost a couple dollars, but just chalk it up as a 2 or 3 dollar lesson.

I have a few 1894 double dates, your does not appear to be one based on enlarging your photo...but that could have been a costly error if it was.

I'm not sure if it is or not, I think nickelsearcher, was just trying to find out if your post was making a list to sell or, just asking if you wanted a grade.
It was somewhat confusing...

I was mostly asking about the grade and value. I agree the coin is probably valued at the G price. This coin has already sold and sold really quickly BIN so figured I must of undercharged, only by a couple dollars though. I know BIN prices are a balancing act but instant sales are almost always under-priced. If I encounter another 1894, at least I will know that year in the 1890s is worth a little more. I charged a dollar for it plus shipping. They paid my ask price, so off it goes. I wonder how many people got these 5000 free BINs this week by invitation only?

Actually this situation worked out for me well. The same buyer bought my 1866 IHC with surface issues I was selling which was a lot higher so this situation worked out well for me, consider it a loss lead.
