Yup, most definitely looks like some of those white metal fantasy pieces sold to tourists. It should be drastically underweight - around 19-21 grams. Have you had a chance to weigh it?

I don't think it is a coin. It was for the empiress memory medal after her death. I don't think it is an official piece, either since in the chinese old time, the figures of empiresses were not allowed on a coin or so. Here is the info for her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empress_Dowager_Cixi

Not a coin. Cheap medal fantasy featuring Empress Dowager Cixi and she ruled China from 1861-1908. Mainly sold to tourists to fool them that they are getting a great antique coin.

Sorry to say, this looks fake to me, too. The Chinese characters are not well written.

Another cheap copy unfortunately. Chances are if you don't know what you are getting, it's too likely that you are getting a counterfeit.

Thank you all for your replies and valued opinions, and I would like to hear more from you regarding this one too, it seems I have to accept the fact that I did not hit the jackpot yet, but I will keep it up, anyways this is coming up to be a new world for me and a hobby that I m liking more and more. As a general rule, Id suggest staying away from Chinese or Japanese dollars, unless you're dealing with someone who really, really knows what they're doing. There's just too many fakes of these. The Chinese fakemasters have ruined Chinese dollar collecting for the typical collector.

Sap I disagree with the line "Chinese and Japanese" counterfeits. Right now, the Chinese counterfeiters are buying extremely high graded coins just for the purpose of counterfeiting.
Swiss, Russian, British, etc you name it. They all got it. The hardest hit counterfeit right now in the Russian numismatics is the Peter II ruble - most of them currently offered by Chinese and Belarus sellers.
