Good morning, My dad has been sending me some more pictures of stuff in his collection. I was wondering if anyone could help out with grading this 1945 Silver dollar. Thanks!

Oh wow really? Clearly I need to work on my grading skills because I guessed they would probably be VG-F!
Thanks for the help!

Trust your instincts WildYapok....your coin will grade closer to a Fine than to an AU.

I would have to agree with bmxboy the fine details of his hair are almost gone there is no way this coin would grade AU-50

So it sounds like VF is probably closer to the mark - that's certainly closer to what I was expecting. Thanks everyone! Quote: Question is this coin even authentic? I hope so.. my dad's had it in his collection for a long time.

I would get it certified there is something NOT right about this coin.1945 and 1948 Lebanese Silver Counterfeits have been around since the early 1960's.The obverse looks washed out with little detail and the lettering is suspect . Better pics and a weight please! Onthe reverse the HB seems to completely missing.
