Dansco 7070 off ebay. About how much money should I expect to spend filling this thing? I'm gonna hold off on starting on it until after I finish my Indian Head collection anyway, I'm just wondering if there are any really killer coin types that'll cost me upwards of a thousand dollars or whatnot.

It all depends on the grades you pursue. If you go for collector grades of F to XF then your probably looking around $4,000. I can't speak for grades higher than that but I'm sure someone will be around soon that can provide that info.
Good Luck

There aren't really any coins that will cost you over a thousand dollars. If you look around, most can be found under $100, and only a small handful will cost over $200. The biggest coins will be the early copper (problem free, original coins. The classic head large cent is hard to find problem free.) The Trade dollar, both Seated dollars, the bust types (maybe except the half) will cost you a lot to get in VF/XFish.

In addition to what Fengk said, look to spend several hundred a piece on the eagle and double eagles, ($10 and $20 gold pieces).

Wow, fantastic job on your album Brian. I hope mine looks as great as that down the road. Also, I'm not sure whether or not mine has a page for gold coins, I heard that some come without them and when I looked at the item description I didn't see gold coins anywhere.

It all depends on the grade here is a very nice set http://w2up.home.mindspring.com/dan...type_set.htmif you take your time and do some research before you buy you can save a lot of money. MY set is not as high of grade as this one however I now have about $4000.00 in mine and eight coins to go it can run into some bucks. Bruce.

Mine didn't come with the Gold page either but I bought the page by itself not long after starting the album because I just didn't think it would ever be complete without the gold page in there

I did see a 1794 head of 1794 cent listed by a dealer today for $1000 in F, and have seen some AG stuff around the $200 range lately.

Tim jing I have said many times how nice Bryan type set is, I book marked his set to use as sample for mine. To help you on your set use his and pictures of others 7070 type sets to help you build yours. A good reference site for type coins is http://www.coinfacts.com/ us this site to help you learn about the coins you will need and there history good luck. Bruce. PS. IF Becky sees this post she will put her 7070 up it is a good example also.

Those 7070's are really nice. Thanks Bruce and Bryan for sharing. I'd love to start one myself. I'm going to be on the lookout for Becky's album too.
