I'm not sure...Never saw a 5oz one is real life or internet. So I don't know if it's a quarter or 5oz.

Not really, $229.95 from the mint . It is a deal
It's a 5oz not a quarter.

Not sure if the picture color hasn't been white-balance, but I would think a silver would be brighter. And I feel the image should be clearer with more detail, if its a 5oz coin.
to me, it simply looks like a clad quarter.

The photograph in the listing appears to be a Denver minted clad quarter, not a silver five ounce coin. I believe I can see the clad sandwiching in the rim.

What caught my eye was the reeded edge. All the 5oz ATB have edges that are smooth with a little writing describing the weight and fineness. If this was his photo of what he was selling, some one has been had.

Clad or not the 5 oz ATB are smooth with writing on them. The picture is of a quarter.

The would have to have some brass........... to sell, describe in no uncertain terms, a 5oz ATB and then send you a clad quarter. He has 1465 positive feedbacks, don't think he would risk all that with ebay for a $200 payday. But...... I could be wrong

From the mint's site: Quote: Their fineness and weight are edge-incused on the coins. Shame! Edit: I agree with reeded edge comments.

Yup, it's a quarter (the small one)
There are no 5oz. silver pucks with a D mint mark
...and the picture is definitely a quarter
...and it states 5 ounce 3 times in the ad and also states Denver Mint
....scam....

Moot point; it's a slam-dunk SNAD if a true Quarter is sent. I'd give the seller the benefit of the doubt here.

Probably what happened here was that the seller already had the Denali quarter pic on file and was too lazy to take one of the 5oz puck.

I agree with the others - the coin is probably a placeholder. The seller is rated pretty well and has a fair number of sells, so I am guessing the buyer is getting a 5oz Denali.

I dunno if its a placeholder, if it is use a Philly quarter as NONE of the 5oz coins are currently being made in Denver. Either the seller is simply too lazy or some buyer is truly getting snookered. Choosing Denver as the mint is really suspicious. as good a deal for a scarce 5oz coin as it is, I'd steer clear of such misleading auctions. First cardinal rule: ASK before bidding.

In the end, all we can do is watch the seller's feedback... :-)

Most likely a default picture. Seller was too lazy
