Not so much for copper but selling unsearched lots on ebay. Do you think there is a profit to be made? Report this Post to the Staff

Little if any in terms of profit. Even if the US got rid of the penny think about how many other people would be doing the same thing to load up on them. Literally billions are made every year, theres just far to many of them and too many people will hoard them if they got rid of it. At some point they may carry a premium but it wont be in our lifetime and problem not the lifetime after that. You can still easily find uncirculated pennies from the 70s for not much of a premium.
