I throw the idea out there about having an additional sub forum in the Canadian coin section that would cover investment/reselling/speculating on Canadian coinage. It seems at least half the topics here in the Canadian NCLT section end up going down that road. This would save people from wading though numerous posts of how many coins people bought/sold/flipped, etc., if that wasn't your area of interest. Just a thought....

I don't think its a good idea. Too much overlap. What do you do with topics that start with the speculating on page 2?

Good idea but have a password to get in so the collector only cannot get the information we supply. lol

It may be an idea that is good in theory but for those who moderate it, I agree that it could be very difficult to keep things on course, especially at first.
I might just be overly optimistic that threads wouldn't start to go down the speculation track if there was a separate place for that sort of topic.

Bad idea. It dilutes the input of all schools of thought under one thread.

Good idea in general, but why not to go simpler way and to create specific threads? Need just to specify in topic name, that the main idea is "investment". This will give indication to the people what could be found inside.

 I find it amazing how much detail they put in the 2012 glow in the dark dino image. If you look at the high res image it is really amazing how much detail they put in. You can see all the individual feathers (fur). Nobody had commented on the image on the coin, only the selling price on ebay and how many to buy or return to the post office.

@Dooby Rak:
in a computer world, it's too easy to make this detail

Thanks for the image.
Never seen this coin so detail. It is beautiful indeed.

@Dooby Rak: Is it a real coin or from RCM picture?

Quote: if there are no flippers 3/4 of the nclt issues will never sell out. flippers are responsible for demand. Really? As much as I tire of posts talking about how someone has purchased a closet full of this coin or is hold them, or is selling them, or thinks they'll be worth double tomorrow, next week, or in two years, or whatever the case may be, it's a part of the coin discussion. As for the value of that information? Well suffice to say that no password is need on those gems. I'm also not naive or arrogant enough to think that every one of my posts is a bounty of wisdom. It's just what I know or think and worth about what you paid for it. So if someone is posting about coins (even if it's reselling), then I think it's all fair game. Possible solution: sticky redirecting to RFD?
