i LOVE mottled crusty Seated dimes as much as I love blast white ones...but if given the choice, for me, I would take this '75 as is versus a shinier one...

It's got to go to a TPG to get called but I am curious what the CCF thinks...AU? MS?

I go AU53 - looking at the left leg you can see the buff marks and the side of the head as well. The reverse looks better - I can't tell if the high spots are worn at all, but I see so few of these in the really real world I live in to know the coin well enough...

I'm not sure I follow...are you referring to PMD as a wear factor on this coin?

No.. on the sitting dimes I have - the wear on them shows down the shin of the left leg and the side of the face. I don't see damage - I see what looks like the coin has been slight circulated and worn. In the first picture and your first picture from in hand it looks to have wear on those spots as well. Granted not a lot but to me it looks like it is there. (I am not a grader - I only play an amateur one on the internet :)

I think this one might detail due to a cleaning (hope I'm wrong) it has that look to me. AU50
